What the music gave me

the first week of school has been great and awful. for some strange and insane reason the school i go to does not have air conditioning. i live in a desert. it has been sickeningly hot in school this week, and it's getting very hard to be in that environment. so far i like my classes and teachers, and i'm excited for the school year. i'll get to work on my altered book again this year in art, which i'm very excited for. i'm also news editor for our school newspaper and photographer so it's going to be crazy in that class! today we cleaned out the creepy cupboard that hasn't been cleaned out since the school was built, (50's) and we found a hand waxer. it was weird. don't worry though, there were two boxes of wax to go with it. another class i am enjoying is my office aid class. basically, i just answer phones and write street passes and deliver notes to students. i find that sort of work very fun. now on to the music part! i'm running a little low on funds right now so i don't have much new music this week, but i can say that the more songs i get from foster the people's new album, torches, the more i love it. florence + the machine also came out with a new single this week, and it's pretty great. tomorrow i have a free period first period, which means i get to sleep in an extra two hours. technically i could sleep in longer if i wanted, but i want to be awake an hour before school starts. i'm so exhausted. you forget just how tired you can get in the summer because you can always go to bed when you want and wake up when you want. with school, you go to bed when you're done with homework and wake up when you need to go to school. there's no leniency. so, i'm very happy to have a free period. that's all i have to say for today. yesterday was wednesday, so i did update my "weeklies"

hello. i really needed a break from homework so i decided to blog. i just finished doing 100 bullet points on a chapter in my history book, which was extremely monotonous and boring. then i went to the store and got some mango lemonade and dark chocolate reeses. kind of random, but we had no food and i hadn't had dinner.. what else am i supposed to eat at 9 o'clock at night? i've been taking pictures of the sunset recently, which is tons of fun :) i love the way the sun can make trees seem like silhouettes, and clouds look like wisps of lace. i haven't done anything spectacularly special lately, i've just been hanging out and listening to music :) on monday i am going to an advanced screening of beastly. ya know how sometimes "they" have crowds of people come watch movies a month or so before it's released so they can poll the audience and see if they should change anything? well that audience this time is me and my friends, so it's gonna be fun :) supposedly we're supposed to get a big snow storm tomorrow. i'm half YAY and half NAY. I love the snow, and i'm not quite ready to give up my long sleeved shirt collection for the year, but i am really tired of my school being cold. of course, i'll be cursing the heat in a few months because my school has no air conditioning... that will be fun. today in judo, we sword fought! it was really fun but the helmet i was wearing was like a giant fish bowl. i just realized that i have not updated my "weeklies" in over a week.. *gasp* but i'm far too sleep deprived and lazy to do it now. something random about me: when i get sleep deprived, i get really hyper. so today was an... interesting day at school. that's all for me today, i need to fall deep into a dream lull to remove the bags and purple thumbprints from under my eyes...
