Speak Now

So Speak Now, the full album, is officially out and it is amazing. It exceeded my expectations, and Taylor Swift has outdone herself, yet again. She wrote every single song on the album by herself, which is an amazing feet on it's own. So here's my review of the album. 5/5 will be, in my opinion, the best songs ON THE ALBUM. Just because I rate something below 4/5 doesn't mean it's not a good song, they're all amazing :)
Mine- Catch, cute love story song. You've probably all heard it by now. It was the first single released off of speak now, and it set the tone for the CD. It is one of the CD's few absolute love story songs. Lyrics are amazing, concept amazing, music video, adorable.
Overall, 4/5. (5/5 Being the BEST songs on the CD)
Sparks Fly- Definitive country twang on this song, chorus is very catchy and cute. Love story song about seeing "sparks fly" the first time you meet someone and they brighten your world. Cool use of guitar on this song. Bridge is choppy, cool, definitive bridge.
3/5
Dear John- One of the longer songs on the album. Slower, acoustic song, Lyrics are very thoughtful and creative. You can hear the emotion in her voice when she sings it. Very beautiful song.
5/5
The Story Of Us- Very cool use of country instrumentals in the background. Uplifting song about a break up. Nice to have one of those every once and a while. Very quirky/funny when she says "Next chapter" and "The End"
4/5
Never Grow Up- One of my personal favorites. Song about growing up, and everything that comes with it. Acoustic, almost Lullaby like song. Very beautiful, and very beautiful lyrics.
5/5
Enchanted- A song where not only the vocals and lyrics blow you away, but the instrumentals do to. Very different style for her. Bridge and Chorus are very catchy.
Fun to sing along to.
5/5
Better Than Revenge- Starts of the song by saying "Now go stand in the corner and think about what you did" VERY Clever song. In a way, a Rock-Coutry sound to this song. Very clever/harsh lyrics. Definitely a revenge song :)
4/5
Innocent- Lyrics on this song are phenomenal. Different sounding instrumentals, but very beautiful. Slow song, written about the infamous Kanye West incident at the VMA's last year. Taylor handled this with grace.
5/5
Haunted- Instrumentals- AMAZING powerful song, fiddle/violin parts, very cool. Faster, edegier song.
5/5
Last Kiss- Sad Love song, shows a different side of Taylor's vocals. Very beautiful, piano/acoustic based song. Beautiful lyrics.
4/5
Long Live- Song about the trials and tribulations of making it as far as she has. Amazing song, written about her and her band. Very clever concept.
5/5

That's my review :) If y'all have the CD chime in with your thoughts :)
Until next time...

The Scene and Herd.

Taylor Swift's new album, Speak Now, comes out this Tuesday. I'm extremely excited for it. Next time you hear from me, I will probably be giving a review of the album. I was driving along this weekend, and I stumbled upon an Antique shop. I'm obsessed with old keys, and I think Antique shops are awesome, so we went in. I found the coolest key- It was heavy and silver and very old, the traditional style key. I had the coolest design I've ever seen. Also, it had GERMANY stamped on it. It was really cool and I would have gotten it, but I had no money with me. I'll go back though, and that Germany key will be mine. I love what keys represent. Everyone's always like yeah, this key is the key to my heart when they wear keys around their necks, and although i think that's strangely cute, I think keys represent so much more. Keys represent the future, the past, and what we don't know. Chance is, with old, antique keys, you'll never find out just what they unlock.

It's bean a while...

So. It's been a while. My last post was the Relient K concert and I just couldn't bring myself to take away the true excited-ness that I showed in that post. Because that was one of the best days ever. So school started. Since then. It's unfortunate, but school is school, and it's not that bad. So Taylor Swift's album is coming out this coming Tuesday, and you may or may not know that she has been releasing singles each week leading up to the album. So far she's released Mine, (Amazing) Speak Now, (So Cute) Back To December (Sad) and, my personal favorite, Mean. Mean really seems to describe some stupidity that has taken place in my life, and I always love songs even more when I can relate well to them. Psych also returns on NOVEMBER 10TH and CHUCK has been AMAZING so far. And I'm still Equally obsessed with Bones. So now that I've shared everything that I've done (sorta) while I was gone, I guess I'll continue with how I am now. For art I'm doing a project called an Altered Book. If you have abbbbbbsolutly no idea what on earth that is, you can googleimage altered books and it will show you some ideas. Anyway, basically i do whatever i want to a book. Of course, since I am more than slightly obsessed with music, I took a bunch of my favorite songs and illustrated them with paint, magazine clippings, drawings, la la la la. Basically I've been obsessed with that for the last month. It's turning out really cool. I've also put alot of the songs that I've written in the book. I'm really excited because I went shopping and I got the cutest jacket ever. Which is a plus =) also i found a pair of cowboy boots which i have been looking for FOREVER =) that's all for me... for now.
WATCHING: Stormchaserssss!
LISTENING TO: Lie To Me- The Band Perry
FEELING: Excited/Tired
